Johnny Gaudreau was born on August 13, 1993, in Salem, New Jersey, and raised in Carney's Point, New Jersey. His father, Guy Gaudreau, was a hockey coach, and Johnny grew up playing hockey alongside his brother, Matthew. NHL Career. 

Draft and Early Years with the Calgary Flames:

Johnny Gaudreau was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 4th round, 104th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Despite being a late-round pick, Gaudreau quickly proved himself to be an elite player.
